Did you buy them from carmats-uk.com? If so, do they came with the correct fitting things as in do they fix into the FK8 or do they just sit on the carpet? Red with black trim actually sounds quite nice.

I don't disagree. I have owned most colours of cars, apart from black - the FK8 is my first black car. I got it washed on Saturday and by the end of the day it looked dirty :( Still think it looks really nice though.

Can't you just turn keyless entry off on the FK8?

Sonic Grey is the worst colour in my opinion, probably why it was so cheap as they can't sell it! :D Is it a GT variant?

Yeah my old Focus ST was with Greenlight, I asked them for a quote on the Type R but they said the same - don't insure anything over a certain price.

I'm driving like a granny and getting above 35 mpg consistently. One of my trips I got 39.9 mpg according to the Trip Meter. I then ragged it one of my other trips and got 19 mpg. Coming from a MK2 Focus ST, this car is on the other end of the economical scale for me as the Focus felt like it...

Hmmmm, my brother lives in Essex! Our car has some kind of launch control feature doesn't it? Take traction control off, put in +R, put Brake Hold on and rev the engine (maxes @ 3500 rpm?) and then press Brake Hold to lift off? Is that correct or have I made that up?

Question: Does anyone elses car prompt you to go up a gear way too soon? I'm doing 35-40 mph in gear 5 and its telling me to go to gear 6?? Also, a trip to Nurburgring isn't too expensive, 150 for hotel, 150 for channel tunnel and then fuel/food/lap expenses. Awesome few days away too...

I'm sure you have enjoyed being the owner of it though? I tested that display and you were right, it kicks in after 4500 rpm! When I parked up on my driveway I had a few burning smells from the car, normal I hope for a new engine :)
