Honda Civic Si 2006 - Aftermarket Tuners have started tuning

If you're talking about the K20Z3 engine then its using bits from a variety of the K-series engines. K20A2 style head, Euro-R RBC intake manifold and other bits I can't remember. Its pumping out 197bhp similar to the K20A2 due to Honda agreeing to follow the new SAE standards.

Honda Civic Si 2006 - Aftermarket Tuners have started tuning

Re: Honda Civic Si 2006 - Aftermarket Tuners have started tu Trung, where did i say Volk Racing make tuning parts? I simply said GReddy will be using their own turbo with Tein parts for their suspension and Volks Racing for their wheels. Didn't think I'd have to spell that out to you of all...

Honda Civic Si 2006 - Aftermarket Tuners have started tuning

I think you'll find the 2006 Si coupe is not sold in Japan and only the 2006 SEDAN is on sale in North America at the moment.

Honda Civic Si 2006 - Aftermarket Tuners have started tuning

The car hasn't even come out yet, but GReddy, Comptech and AEM are already working on modifying the 2006 Civic Si. GReddy are building a turbo version. Also, using other bits from Tein and Volks racing AEM are using the body, but replacing the new engine with the older K20A engine...

    Blown Headlight bulbs!!

He's blown 4 sets of different brand bulbs. You'd have to be very unlucky to get 4 different sets of bulbs from duff batches.

Damm good stuff and well priced because of the no thrills packaging.

Maybe that was for the lower spoiler as well, which is a lot more than the bumper.

    Blown Headlight bulbs!!

Not sure an earthing kit would help if the bulbs are being blown by current spikes.

    Blown Headlight bulbs!!

Mate, seeing as you're taking the car into the dealer, ask them to check the alternator to see if its chucking out too much power. Also, does your bulbs usually blow on one side? If so, could be a faulty connector.

What about the BC Prospec which is due in mid-October?

    Blown Headlight bulbs!!

I seriously think there is an issue with a large number of CTR's and their electrical systems. Spikester, I know of a number of people who blow main bulbs and even LED's (which draw next to no current) quite frequently. As you've already said, main bulbs shouldn't need to be changed that...

    First Meguiars claybar post!!

I chuck out my 50g bar after using it twice, because I always pick up a few 100g bars when I'm out in the US or Canada. Its much cheaper. How long you use your bar of clay for depends on how contaminated the bar is and not how many times you use it.
  23. J

    First Meguiars claybar post!!

Clay bars come in different grades according to the size of the polishing particles. So in effect clay is like a rubbing compound except the contaminants get trapped in the clay. You can knead the clay to get a clean surface, but I only ever use about 50grams of clay for 2 whole cars.

    First Meguiars claybar post!!

Nope I wouldn't say that is often.

    First Meguiars claybar post!!

Try the Sonus Green Clay. I find it much easier to use than the Meguiars. Personally, I wouldn't clay your car too often. You risk dulling the gloss of the clearcoat.

k pro- is it worth it ??

Trung has been running the TODA, GruppeM and Spoon exhaust without KPro for over a year without any problems.
  28. J

k pro- is it worth it ??

I would say get the exhaust first then the K-Pro. Although there is probably a map for the injen cai, no two cars are the same. If you can afford the TODA at the same time you might as well get that fitted as well and then pay for a dyno tune.
  29. J

    OOO OOO OOO OOO !!

Nope, it was the Ti 60RS with a TODA mani and ARC induction box. It wasn't the loudness that caught my attention, but the race sound.
  30. J

    AEM ECU

I can't really see the advantage of the AEM over the K-Pro unless you change parts frequently and go to the track a lot. Who would you get to tune the AEM?
  31. J

    OOO OOO OOO OOO !!

If its anything like the one for the S2000, then its not really that loud at all even with the top down.
