2nd gear prob out of warranty

I'm wondering if anybody can help me? my 30th anni has the dreaded 2nd gear prob & its out of warranty, a claim to honda for a good will guesture of supplying the 2 sync FOC was rejected :evil:

Today I got a written quote from my local stealer for supply/fit 2 replacement syncs & a new clutch kit whilst the box is out....... £1865!!!!!!!!

Nearly shat myself! Anybody check the parts/prices for me, or know of a reputable place I could get a good 2nd hand gearbox from with some sort of warranty to make sure its a good one?
