Back from Honda and need new shocks

My 03plate CTR was in at Honda today getting the gearbox oil changed. They did a check on the whole car and I was told my front 2 shocks had free play in them. :cry:

They quoted me £330 for supply and fitting!!! :!:

What's the best option? Get standard shocks and get them fitted elsewhere or go for uprated ones etc?

Any recommendations?

How many miles have you done in it??

Be careful of some dealers as some have tried ripping people off for doing work that isn't needed. Get a second opinion first.

Seems odd for such a new-ish car tbh. As above, what's the mileage? :?

Dump the shocks and get coilovers mate, pick them up on here for £500-600 and much better than standard shocks/springs. Oh and never listen to what the stealer tells you.

Guys, the milage is only 33,072

Don't coilovers make for a harsher ride??

Maybe slightly, but can be adjusted to suit your needs.
