Car won't crank

Ep3 02 plate.

When you put the key in the ignition the dash lights up as normal but when you turn the key fully there is no crank at all.

The Dash computer (mileage thing) doesn't come on either.

Check the battery, immobilizer, ECU in that order.

When I diconnect the battery to charge it will it cause a problem when I reconnect it?

If you've got your radio code then you shouldn't have any issues.

Must always be careful in what order you take a battery off and back on again.

the earth lead is always first off and last back on

Can you here a ticking noise when you turn the key to start? If so keep turning the key from the second position to the third position continusly untill it fires up. I had to do this on my 2001 ep3 its a immobilizer fault. Hope this works for you. Good look

It was just a flat battery, must have left the dome light on.
