changing my oil

hi can *** help im gonna b changing the oil and filter on my ep3 in the next few weeks from the recipts ive got it looks like my car has been run on 10/40 semi but i wanna put castrol 5/30 in, the car has done 75,000 miles do you think that itll b ok to drop it down or should i stick to 10/40 thanks guys.

Recommended by most on here, I'd go with 5w40 fully synthetic.

I use Mobil1 New Life 0W-40 as it has better flow then any 5w-40, engine runs much smoother compare to motul i used to run before. Also oil consumption is halfed compared to motul 8100 xcess

Ive used mobil1 2000 3000 in diesels and tried the new life on the civic as Halfords had 5 litres for £40 I like this new life oil so Im going to use it again.
