Differences between tires sizes? Help me please!!!

Been reading on the forum about 2 different sizes of tires used on the standard alloys.

The standard tire comes as 205/45 R17, will running 215/40 R17 effect the handling to make it better or worse & what do people advise for this?

Please help, I'm confuzzled!!!

I find the 215/40/17s better handling...which is what i was told anyway.

Only down side is that the tyres dont quite fill the arch like the 205/45/17s but then its all about,what suits the driver on the road :twisted:

If it's similar to the CRX then run the wider ones, tried the 'narrow' option on the CRX and it was very bad, £30 cheaper per corner but I'd rather have a few pints less a week and go with the wider option.
