Disc grooves. Forward or back facing?

Which way should the grooves point on grooved discs?
I fitted mine Saturday with the grooves forward facing.

This is what I've read, and been told, so it could be wrong.

Rearward facing is supposed to give more bite under braking, but it is harsher on the pads.

Forward facing aids better cooling.

However, I'd probably be inclined to say that you'd not really notice any difference in performance, except that maybe rearward facing would cause more vibrations? I'm unsure, but nothing wrong with how you have it set up.

These are mine, like Chris said I don't know if there is a right or a wrong way but they were fitted by the garage so I'd expect this is what they normally do.

Mine will be fitted tomorrow the same as loxy's, tom had them fitted that way too for more "agressive" braking + more wear on the pads

My current discs go the opposite way for more "cooling" i was told when fitted

I would prefer more bite under initial braking so might try them the other way. I'll let them bed in a little first.
