Ep3 Bogged down and cut out....

Hi all, on behalf of a mate.

He was driving his facelift EP3 last night, going down a hill came onto a roundabout when to accelerate out of it and the car lost acceleration and bogged down and cut out and after he was unable to start the car.
He added more fuel as he didn't know whether the fuel gauge was a bit dodgy.
The car tries to turn itself over but all can be heard is the starter motor.
He's recently just fitted a groupe m induction, could he have knocked anything or a sensor of some sort?

Any help appreciated.

Check all sensors are connected properly. All earths are secure/good.

Is the EML on??

Yeah that's what were going to do later.
Yes but he has a de-cat.
I've been looking for a thread on how to test the fault code?
I know how to do it on my EK, is there a thread anywhere?

Has the car been mapped with it having a decat?

No he is going CPL next monday for a map!

Not going to cpl is a good idea.

If its bogging down its either not getting the right amount of air, fuel, or decent spark. Simple.
Eliminate causes and establish the fault. It won't get mapped if its faulty.
