Ep3 type r rear shocks

Hi. Went to take off my lowering springs on Saturday but the drivers rear shock bottom bolt was seized in bush. So I need to buy 2 new rear shocks.

My brother in law works at FPS who supply pretty much all the car retailers so I cut out the middle man and get his discount..

But. He's got 2 on self but it comes up as type r / type s

Are these the same Shockers just I'm having a right pain with the car at min and really just need to know before I car trying to get old one off. Any help would be greatly appreciated
