First Trackday at Donny Park, Awsome !

Just thought i would post a few pictures of our trackday at Donny this last weekend, we had a fantastic day and the car was great !

We used 150 quid in fuel 2 litres of oil and a set of front pads after 3/4s of the day had gone ! the disks were glowing red :s and that was after a wet start to the day. We ran Toyo R888 and they were awsome ! although a little skitish in the wet, when it dried out in the afternoon they were incredible and really showed us that the next upgrade todo is suspension and antiroll bars.

We were really impressed witht he pace of the CTR with only a few cars able to keep up and pass out there ( Aston Vantage, and a few Clio Cup race cars on a test day)

We booked with bookatrack and they had a few photographers there and you can download the whole ablbum for 20 quid, which was really good :)

Awesome Donny is on my to do list. Not in the ATR though they aren't great on track standard.
 
I live 5 minutes from Donington and am definitely going to do it one day, but my mates dad crashed there last year and it puts me off a bit!
 
Nice pics. I like Donny but only been round there as passenger, it is on the 'to do list' for next year.

Were you on the national or full GP circuit?
 
We were on the National Circuit, its a really fast circuit, the real bum clencher was craner curves ! you came came down the hill through the last bend bouncing off the limiter in 4th and as the track dried out you could snatch 5th for a few seconds, all to try and get it all slowed down for the 90 degree right ! if you got the line wrong it really pushed you out to the right making the 90 right and rest of the uphill section very slow and it put you off the dry line and it got very skittish :s we had a few heart sinking moments lol

A mate of mine has a track type r is silver on either gold or green wheels who regularly does track days at donnington, look out for him, his car is very well set up and he's pretty quick on donnington !!
