FK8 intercooler failure - help!

Well I've not been on here for ages! Hope all is good in Forum-land.

Unfortunately I've got issues with my FK8 and am after your help please.

Last month the car lost power and then died on me when I stopped. It's been at Honda for a month and the latest is the fuel pump needed replacing (recall item), a new MAF sensor has been fitted and it has a major intercooler leak so needs a new one of those too. Total bill nearing £1k.

My issue is that I wasn't informed about the fuel pump recall and the work wasn't carried out in a service a few months back. What happened is exactly as described in a recall letter that arrived last week (bit late Honda!), however the dealer is refusing to link the failure to causing the MAF sensor or intercooler issues. It's a complete coincidence that all 3 failed simultaneously apparently...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, nice to see you here.

Ooft. Maybe speak to Honda UK and see what they say?

Thanks for the replies. I will try Honda UK again, although they were no use previously when trying to sort a courtesy car as needed the dealer to agree it was an issue with a recall item which they're not agreeing it is.

The dealer is saying there is no link between the fuel pump issue and the intercooler failure, however my argument is I had zero issues, the fuel pump failed (error codes confirmed this) and I now have further issues that happened simultaneously, so surely that's related?

I'm not sure they are linked but I am no spanner man. My intercooler leaked because a plastic plug had failed causing it to lose pressure. I bought a near new one off eBay for £130 and had a mechanic fit it.
