So I got quoted £160 odd each tyre at 3 different places and around £310 total for 2 tyres fitted after a reduction :rolleyes:. Is this correct or are they takin' the **** trying to steal my monies? Last tyres I bought were £120 each back in 2010. These are the standard bridgestone re40's, does anyone know a site where I can get em cheaper?

also found this website which quotes me much less for 2x fitted tyres locally for £260. is this more reasonable or I should I buy em for the first link?

There's a fair bit of difference between the price of the OEM size of 205/45/17 and 215/45/17.

You are correct about Blackcircles, the price you see is the price you pay. Quite often the tyre places I use to fit them say they couldn't supply them for that price never mind fit them and dispose of the old casings.

When I've asked a garage to fit tyres I've bought elsewhere before they've ranged from £15-£20 per tyre.

Everything has gone up recently. Just be glad you don't have to pay out for 225/40/18 like us FN2 owners. Now those are daylight robbery!
 
I see, so you reckon £258 for 2 tyres fitted in reasonable? Also how important is balancing/revalving or whatever that is? Would it be included as standard with the fitting cause blackcircles does not specify if this is the case

nevermind found this on their FAQ's

"The price you see when searching under our “Fully Fitted” option is fully inclusive of; standard rubber valves, fitting, balancing, VAT and disposal of your old tyres. "

Well those are around £12 cheaper per corner? I think for peace of mind i'd rather just stick with re40's as people seem to say they are good "all rounders", not that I don't value your seal of approval Loxy, because I do :)
