How To Remove Your Valve Cover

Messages

Hey guys I have just recently sprayed my cam cover and made a video to help any of you and guide you through what you need to do.

Firstly start off by taking off the rocker cover then using Nitro Mors to remove the paint, then the usual primer, paint and laquer!

Here's the video:

Enjoy!

Great job!!

Did you mask off the 'HONDA' for painting?
Whats the best way to keep it so neat around that area?

Also is it possible to keep the cover in a polished state without any treatment?
Or polished with a clear laquer?

Did you find it a bit difficult refitting without damaging the paint work mostly when trying to get past the brake and clutch reservoirs? I just ordered some VHT red wrinkle paint and hope to being doing this soon. I also did buy a new seal as well from Tegiwa. Another reason for me doing this is to check the valve clearances and may as well kill two birds with one stone and get this all done in one go.

Ive just painted mine this weekend and I didnt mask off HONDA. Once dry I used a stanley knife blade to remove the majority of the paint, and then carefully sanded the surface down. came out quite nice!
