i cant get into 3rd gear

I can't get into 3rd gear but the other gears are ok.if I get the revs right it will go into 3rd so does this mean my sincro has gone? More info on this would be great also 1st can be a hard to get into sometimes

Sounds like the typical FN2 3rd gear notch issue?

If so, Honda should fix under warranty IIRC

It's new oil but bits thicker I think . Its turboed so he said I would be better with thicker oil

Couldnt get into 1st and 2nd in my '05 ep3 a few months back mate, turned out to be gear cable ... thankgod! Thought i was also ***** need a clutch after driving in 3rd everywhere. hope you get it sorted soon mate.

What oil.... you cant just put any oil like that
If you put some GL5 transmission oil it will eat out brass syncro

Ricky from racetech put the oil in. Maybe I should call him up and ask him what oil he put in

You don't need any different oil in the box if it's turbocharged.

Honda's MTF 3 is best.

3rd gear syncro, oil can be an issue but it's more likely to be the syncro being so prominent.
