Hi All,

I am seriously considering replacing my Honda head unit over and standard manufacture speakers. I have been in contact with approved specialists Sextons based in Portsmouth who deal with security, vision, sound & navigation. They came across quite knowledge on work carried out on Type-r’s. However, I thought I should get some sound advice from you knowledgably people out there who have been there and done that. So who do you recommend and what products should I put in my Civic? :?

They suggested the Alpine Type-R subwoofers & speaker pack using an Alpine iPod CDE-9850Ri head unit. To be honest I do not know what the most effective units are on the market. :|

One more thing, should I wait until more Honda warranty ends in 2008 or just go for it and get the work carried out?

Will, best person to speak to is Dalco as he is an audio specialist and owner of a type R.

Also you might want to think what you want rather than being told what to get.

As for the warrenty, dont worry mine still has a year to run but check my mods list as Honda are good about these sorts of things :lol:

I would seriously think twice before giving sextons any of your money!
