Hi,

Is there anyway of turning the cold fast idle down from 1800rpm?

When i first start the motor in the morning, it just seems to be screaming at 1800rpm. It does drop down to 1500rpm after about 30second or so. But i would like it to start at 1500 and then drop down. I just feel 1800 is way to fast.

Yes with a Flashpro, but it might mess with the fuelling. It's set at that to rapidly warm the car up safely.

That's crazy...1800 just for a quick warm up.

It's a highly strung engine that gets around 100bhp/litre and revs to 8,200rpm to be fair.

It would probably run a bit rough when stone cold at any lower revs.

That's true, never thought of it like that. It's been a while since i had a quick-ish motor..

I had a 1430 A series motor years ago and that produced 93bhp, so a getting 100bhp/litre is good. Especially with no boost.
