do the insurance companies take your date of birth into consideration? What I mean by that is say you insure your car a month or so before your birthday does it get priced with your age at application or does the cost include the fact you will technically be another year older in a month or so??
 
I suspect it would go on age irrespective of your birthday, next week or not. I've always found insurers had age tiers over 21, 30 etc, rather than specific ages 22 over 23 etc. I think you'll find, most of the discount on the premiums will come from experience and NCD, which of course comes with age.

Perhaps one of our traders can shed some more light into the workings of a premium.
