I have modified the intake pipe on the EP3.
I had a spare OEM intake pipe as it happened so that was useful.
Anyway, the OEM intake pipe has its aperture facing the car battery.
So I've made an angled cut to the pipe aperture so that the original bracket was kept in place. It was a useful guide for when sawing.
It's certainly created a far bigger opening and more importantly, more direct airflow, while keeping everything OEM.
Just a little tweek.
There are tonnes of custom and aftermarket airbox ideas and my next plan is to create an additional intake pipe feed to the OEM airbox.
When driving, the VTEC kicks in with a slightly more aggressive noise but it's only subtle.
When I've experimented a bit more I'll update this thread.
