Mounting Your Cameras...

I've done quite a few trackdays and now I'm ready to track the EP3, I have a JVC HD video camera that I want to use for recording. What devices do people use to mount their cameras? I know many organisers don't allow suction mounts and the seats don't suit headrest mounts. Any ideas?

You can put a mount on the headrest of the rear seats, not an ideal location though.

I have the rear seat mount from fastfilms, did a pretty good job.

If your video camera has a hard drive to store the video I think you will struggle as they seem to switch themselves off a lot when on track.

I wouldnt even consider a suction mount anymore as they are a no no at most tracks.

I use a Hauge headrest camera mount on the rear seat headrest and it works quite well.

Couple of vids from me using the mount are below:

I also had a JVC HD Hard drive camera and as Lottie says it ended up stopping after about 5-10 mins as the vibration would switch them off.
Ended up swapping it out for a Mini DV camera and a couple of Keyfob camera's and never looked back since.

Hope this helps.

Great suggestions, I hadn't thought of mounting from the rear seats! I'll be disappointed if the camera switches itself off, if it does I'm back to square one!
