pad wear? recomendations

i painted my wheels a few weeks ago and im finding it being a nightmeare to keep them clean, my pads are giving off a stupid amount of break dust, i barely use the car and usualy after a short trip (around 6miles) i find the wheels are covered and ive barely touched the breaks, im not sure what pads are, there the ones that came on the car when i bought it and i cant see any identity marks on the pads.
basicly im just going to change the pads but would like to know what people are usuing and what sort of dust do they give off?
 
I use ferodo ds2500 but they give off loads of dust, but I like the performance so happy to put up with it
