Quick immobiliser question

Sorry wrong section but I'm in the middle of getting a very good deal on insurance but don't know what immobiliser the CTR has :roll:

I have various to choose from like Standard Fit Cat 1, Standard Fit Cat 2, Thatcham, other etc etc

Can anyone give me a quick answer....Thankyou!

The alarm system on the CTR is Cat 1. Cat 1 applies to the Alarms system, Cat 2 would be if it had Immobiliser only.

Tell them it's a factory fitted Cat 1 System. Their details should know this already :wink:

I used similar www.confused.com and got a good quote from Norwich Union ... they quoted me happy! :lol: :roll:

Norwich union seem to be offering me a damn good price... but they are refusing to believe the CTR has a Cat1 alarm/immobileser as standard, so are now saying they'd want me to get one fitted!

I got a cerificate with my CTR with all the alarm details on. 8)

The early cars had an H&P alarm immobiliser (non- Honda key fob/blipper), and the later ones have a Honda alarm & immobiliser (Honda key fob)

Both are Thatcham category 1 approved
