Hi
been looking at type rs again (ep3)
ive came across a nice couple on Pistonheads in a garage called R-Performance, has anyone ever heard or had dealings with them seems to be very little info on them available?
thanks
david

I met the guy about 5 years ago, a foreign buyer came to buy my DC2 Turbo, pleased with my car he paid full bidding price and requested I take him to Smethwick.
We met this guy (r-performance) who was selling a DC2 also, he was so shady people driving past were bad mouthing him. It turned out the car had a b18c si engine fitted (jdm b18c4) and it was a complete shed. He knocked off about £1500 on the car (I recall it being about £4k). The deal was done and both parties were happy.

Over the past few years, his stock has improved and he does buy genuine clean cars. The prices are way over the top as he has a mark up of about £2k on most cars!
I'm not sure if he even has a unit/garage as when we went to meet for the DC2 he popped out a grocery shop he owns. Previous names are K2-cars, K2Turbo etc..

Cars are good, not sure if actual dealer and offering dealer facilities and warranties. I'd only pay the private price.

NO NOT AGAIN!!!

Rashid is a very good friend of mines. Top guy if you know him well.

He has been buying and selling for some time now. He owns a grocery shop (family business) and buys/sells on the side from home which i see nothing wrong with.

He has sold over 50 Type R's and all customers are more then happy with their purchase. This guy does know what his doing in terms of buying/selling.

Yes you probably sold the best Dc2 in the world but be real, do you really think every single car a trader is selling would be 100% perfect? hence the price he sold it for.

Actually he lost out £1500 due to not checking the oil and then the engine went. A specialist then fitted a engine.

He just started buying/selling then and he didn't know all the engine codes in different models. It was a experince for him and we all need to start somewhere.

This is not the first time you said this, I've also seen it on other forums too.

The famous story which your always talking about as soon as someone mentions his company name was almost 9 years ago (2007) which is way out dated and its time to change the subject.

Who really cares if his making £100 or 2k on a car, and that you wouldn't pay them prices, just stop putting potential buyers off. I don't think you would like it if someone talks negative about your business, if you have one. You should know better.

His not a bad/dodgy dealer is he?, just a genuine, trusted seller who's selling very good examples at good average prices.

It wasn't 2007.
And my review was fair and honest. As I said his stock has improved but it's priced quite high for a guy dealing out his house.
