I noticed recently that the tension in my drivers side seat belt was getting a lot worse than it used to be, despite it being the worse seat belt I've ever used
I used to tug it a few times and it would return but now it gives up altogether.
So I decided to have a look around to see what the problem was, and I didn't have to look far. I lifted the seat belt up at the hanger and there was a thick layer of cr@p under the belt which resembles - well, what I could only describe as "the-same-sh1t-you-get-in-a-mouse" - the silicone ball type!
Gave it a good clean, and all is a lot better now tho its still not that brill. Thought I'd post that in case anyone else is having the same problem!
