Watch me at "Croft lap track day 20-03-15" on YouTube

Nicley done mate. I was there in the NHB 30th Anniversary with gold wheels. It was a fantastic day.... Had no chance against Carl Swift in his Civic Cup EP3!

His civic was something else. A pal of mine came for half hour on morning and said it stood head and shoulders above the other cars. Cant believe its only 230bhp. Just shows how much the handling and driver have to do with it. Did you see the white accord there. That was going well too. It was a good mix of card

True, but I bet you could pick it up it was that light, I was in the garage next to him so picked his brains abit about set up. Yeah good mix, I was there with the mk2 Escort, Leon Cupra and Focus Cosworth.

I need to sort my suspension out and look at some track tyres, I have enough power but rubbish in the corners. Mind you I'm on standard suspension and I was only running the Kenda tyres that came with my gold wheels and they did get nice and sticky and the handling suprised the lads I took out in it. Civic Cup are running Nankangs this year which where getting slated by the lads in the Cup but now they are using them Carl said the grip is fonomanal.

What Setup are you running? looked fast in the corners.

His wasnt as light as i thought it would be. Said 1250 with him in. At mo i have abp springs with standard dampers which if its used on road is probably as harsh as i would want to go. Mine however is a third car and only road driving is going to/from track. I have some meister zeta rs in garage, just waiting to get them fitted then get a full set up done . what power is yours. Has it had a frsu? The focus looked quick but didnt he have some engine bother.
Have to say cant beat hondas for reliability. Mine has never missed a beat

I'm running 234 bhp thanks to a full piper exhaust system including header and sports cat, tegiwa induction kit and Hondata K100 mapped by tdi-north. Not had frsu done as its totally standard suspension wise, the only handling mods I have is upper front strut brace and rear low tie bar. I'm looking at Eibach Pro springs with rear adjustable camber arms and front camber bolts. Mine is my daily driver at the moment but thinking about a little run around for work.

Looks a good lap.

I'm think of doing either Croft or Blyton next weekend, but can't decide. I've not done either before, so which is the better experience? I hope you don't mind a bit of spam on your thread, but here is me at Elvington a few weekends back:

Can see it now. Must have been still loading. I have only done elvington once in my old ep3. I remember the way they had it set out and was a long straight letting you get passed 120mph. Mine is too loud for there now. Have to say i did enjoy it and given the. Hance i would go back. Good thing with airstrip days is if you run off or spin you arnt going to damage anything (hopefully) not Done blyton so cant really compare. Dedicated tracks in my opinion are far better than airstrip days. Especially once you get to know the track a bit. They are all fun though

Its the first time I've done it, although they did say they've changed the layout slightly. The first part of the corner leading to the straight is a lot slower, due to a farmer moving his sheep fairly close.

I've gone for the Blyton option this Sunday.
