whats better castrol edge 5w 30 or 5w 40 ?

I dont intend the car to drink it so will stick with 5w 30 , will be doing 2-3 tracks days over the summer, will that be fine or will I need 5w 40 , newbie here !

In other words you'll be topping up 5w30 more on everyday driving.

Every car is different, but on the whole I beg to differ. Real world, you rev the nuts off it at least once per journey.
