Will these fit????

im after getting a 2nd set of wheels with some trackday only tyres for a bit weekend fun. the tyres im after come in 235/40/17. will these fit on standard 7x17 rims and more importantly will they fit under the CTR arches????? Ive got tein coilover fitted so i should have little extra clearance. but will the wheels im on have to have spaces or need to be a slightly different offset.

235 would be a bit wide for a 7" wide alloy IMO

Widest I would go would be a 215 personally

so will 7.5 x 17 fit under the ctr's arches???/

7.5 will go no probs as I had 7.5 x 18s on, 8 will at a push but its tight I think

215 is a nice width though on a 17" alloy and being a more common size 215/40 they are priced well too.
