LED Sidelights

Looking into buying LED sidelights to match the HID's on my 2004 EP3
Just wondered if anyone could point me to which bulbs I need? I know some cars require canbus versions? Dont want to spend too much on them, if anyone could point me to a site where i could get some, it would be much appreciated!

Also, how are they to fit? Are they a pain or pretty simple?

Thanks Guys

Jamie

Easy to fit just take a few clips out the wheel arch, pull it back and squueze your hand in.

I used the same bulbs for the rear license plate too.

i bought these to go with my 6500K HID kit and they look brilliant!!

they are super white, no hint of yellow or blue or anything and really go well with the kit.... will take a picture if you like??

It shows me the listing but i cant seem to buy them because the seller has blocked transactions due to being on holiday

i take it as long as i get some that are:
2 X T10 20 SMD
501 W5W T10 168 194 bulbs

It will fit the car?

Hi mate how do you install these bulbls on the number plate? Thanks.

The plastic covers over the bulb slide to the side and pop out ,you may have to give them a little force, and then just pull the bulbs out and push the new ones in

Thanks! I will try that when I received the bulbs. So the bulbs for my sidelights are the same with the number plates yea? 501?

I have fitted the smd type led side lights to the front, the other ones were too blue

I put them in rear plate lights but swapped them round for a set of smd ones too

Pic shows the difference between smd and normal led bulb

You may need to fit a resistor in series to extend the life of the LEDs

I dont really see the need to fit a resistor, if you buy good quality LED`s then they should be able to cope with the varying alternator load/output from 6v-16v without any problems.....

Im just not sure why you would need to fit resistors to limit the current if its a good quality LED, and if its not a canbus system with electrical monitering components then i doubt it will bring up any warnings with the lower current draw from the led`s...and again if there good quality and made propperly then they wont flicker like the cheaper ones...
