DC5 brembo brake conversion

I am in the process of having the DC5 brembo brakes fitted, but wantt to place a different set of wheels to the car.

I want to put the alloy wheels from the DC5 as the spokes are better spaced out but have been told that there might be aproblem to fit them on due to the offset

Size is 17", lug pattern is 5 X 114.3. 17 x 7 inch +60 Offset.

Is the offset on a standard EP3 alloy +40 and is it true that The more positive the offset, the more the wheel is tucked into the car. I am not sure what type of alloys to get for the car:confused:

Does anyone have any recommendations.

Cheers.

I think the OE wheels on the EP3 is +48, and I thought the teg had a similar offset. I've seen an EP3 with DC5 wheels on here, can't remember whose it was. It looked great to me! I immediately spent a couple of hours searching for second hand ones actually!

OEM EP3 offset is 45 on a 17x7. You are right, DC5 OEM offset is 60 17x7.

You would need minimum of 15mm spacers to clear the OEM EP3 brakes, more to clear the DC5 Brembos. IIRC EP3 wheels need 5mm spacers to clear DC5 Brembos, so you are looking at 20mm spacers at least to clear the Brembos with DC5 alloys, assuming the spoke thickness is the same.

This is a good site for throwing numbers in for offsets and widths.

I was thinking the same that it gives a better look than OEM ones.:)
