    What tyres?

Just had a set of 4 Vredstein Sessanta's fitted this afternoon, first impressions are good. A lot quieter than the BF Goodrichs I had on the back, about the same noise levels as the Hankooks K104's I had on the front. Turn in seems quite a it sharper than before can't really comment on the grip...

Wheel bearings had crossed my mind.

Knocking Noise On and Off Throttle & Steering Rac

That's what I thought originally and Tom looked at them very closely but it does sound as though it's coming from that area. :(

Knocking Noise On and Off Throttle & Steering Rac

Thanks for the reply but engine mounts was my first thought and they are fine and were uprated when the the DC Sports manifold was fitted. :(

Knocking Noise On and Off Throttle & Steering Rac

So I got back from TGM Sport on Monday to have a fast road set up done and weird knocking noise investigated that's coming from the front passenger side somewhere. The fast road set up was done and then Tom took it for a test spin and to quote him "Your steering is fooking awful, it feels like...

    Well done A-Plan!

Well A-Plan are also my insurance company and while A-Plan did their best to sort out the handling of my claim for the hydrolock they were scuppered by the complete idiots who are my insurers (MarkerStudy). In the end A-Plan washed their hands of the case and I had deal direct with the...

Only 7 days till my car gets fixed:smt038. God it's been a long 2 1/2 months without it.

*Warning* AEM CAI + Flooded Road + A***hole Van Driver = Hydrolock :(

Guys apologies for the lack of response but appear to not be getting notifications for some reason :(. Anyway to answer the above I didn't fit the CAI, the previous owner did and I was unaware of the water ingress issues. Safe to say that once I get the car back a Gruppe M will be purchased...

*Warning* AEM CAI + Flooded Road + A***hole Van Driver = Hydrolock :(

Cheers, at least I'm getting an engine with 10000 miles less on the clock but I don't think Guy will be to happy about me putting a Gruppe M on it. He seems rather down on them when I mentioned Gruppe M's the last time I spoke to him. Still it's my car and my money (or lack there of) :) and I...

*Warning* AEM CAI + Flooded Road + A***hole Van Driver = Hydrolock :(

Thanks for that but unfortunately it clearly states "not to be used on forced induction vehicles". So any other ideas that will stop this happening and can be used on a supercharged ctr or is shelling out for a Gruppe M kit the only way to go?

*Warning* AEM CAI + Flooded Road + A***hole Van Driver = Hydrolock :(

If I had known about it I would have mate, you got a link so I can check it out or would fitting a Gruppe M be the way to go. I'm not sure refitting the standard box is an option as it's supercharged, can anybody confirm this as I certainly don't want this happening again.

*Warning* AEM CAI + Flooded Road + A***hole Van Driver = Hydrolock :(

Driving my JRSC Type-R home from Southampton a couple of weeks ago and the road was flooding at the sides so I was driving in the middle to avoid the water. White van man comes bombing down the road the other way so I pull over in a not so flooded bit to let him pass. He didn't slow down and...
