As far as I know, All genuine N1's are welded. All reps have a pressed fit front end (The end that the exit is on). Maybe this helps, maybe it doesnt, and maybe someone could confirm this?

I am in a similar boat to you. I am looking at getting an un-silenced B-pipe to link onto my Spoon N1 back box. If your going to to still be running the OEM box I think your be okay on the noise levels.

That R32 looks good! Big fan of those, I would have had the Mk4 personally. Don't know why I think I prefer the squarer look. All the new R32's look pretty much the same as the standard GTI's I think. But either way, in along way off being able to afford one so fair play to you! :)

No the insurance isn't really. Well some might think it is. I paid £1200 for third party cover last year with the parents etc for my 1.1 crappy 5dr peugeot 106. Now paying £1242 fully comp with the parents on it, but me as legal owner, keeper and main driver.

I suppose this would be a bad time to pop into this conversation and say; Im 19, one years no claims, have the parents on the insurance (obviously), Car in my name and legal owner, me as main driver so none of this being 3rd named and using it more etc and im paying £1242 for my 02 Pre facelift EP3.

Well I was looking for a cosmic grey face lift but couldn't get one for a good price. So far, only the TRO Sticker is on the rear, driver side window. Thinking about one on the passenger side in the top of the windscreen.

Actually, I'm doing this legally. Have the TRO strikers in the car lined up ready to go on when I get a dry day.
