    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

It's great. I get around 400 miles per tank combined. It's got body roll, but it's more a GT car than a hot hatch. Its 235bhp, and it does have that brutal acceleration. I leave it in 'all-weather' mode which gives less power, light steering and is great for town and casual driving. It...

Went for a Giulietta Cloverleaf mate. 238bhp, 5 doors, insanely comfy, adaptive bi xenons etc. Only 7.5k with 58k on the clock.

I forgot to update this. I sold the car back in April. I was fed up of the poor ride quality, horrible seats and just generally unhappy with the car. Replaced it with an Alfa

Topped oil up and the dipstick stunk of petrol

Embarrassingly it turned out that my young lad gave me the tissue that he used to wipe some excess spillage petrol off the petrol cap for me to wipe the dip stick down. Gave the dip stick a thorough clean and voila. Took it for an oil change after anyway and it was perfectly fine. Not my...

    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

Fitted some Yokohama Advan V105 tyres onto the car, priced at £85 a corner. I highly rated Yokohama as I had AD08's on my RX8 and V105's on my Megane 250. Car feels much better! Clutch is worn in nicely too, feels miles better. So the next step is suspension. Im torn. I keep thinking coilovers...

    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

Competition Clutch OEM replacement kit and Lightweight flywheel now fitted. Clutch is really light, never realised how heavy it used to be. Had an EML light come on over night, was a knock sensor which was code-read and replaced for £60 fitted. Faultless prices for top notch work in my opinion!

    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

I believe it is OEM spec , it was £120 but I got 10% discount on parts as I use them often. Flywheel is Competition Clutch too. It is more of an 'it will do for a year' job to be honest. I was originally going to buy some Meister R coilovers but the clutch started to be awful in reverse and...

    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

Been months since I updated! Gearbox synchro's came back fine, but the clutch is going. Smells of burning whenever I reverse, bit of slipping too. Been quoted £108 for an OEM clutch kit, lightweight flywheel for £180 and labour at £54 per hour. Opinions on that?

    Petrol prices in your area

Vpower is £1.25.9p for me. Usually use that as Shell is under a mile away

Water leak from the roof inside the car?

I dont think it would cause the heat, I do think that the rear right being as hard as a slab compared to the left could be the shocker. In all honesty I havent got the foggiest idea. Its the grinding noise on wheel rotation. It could be the wheel bearing. It could be anything at this stage.

Water leak from the roof inside the car?

Cheers loxy. I dont think it is a binding caliper as the noise disappears when I turn left but gets worse if i turn right. Its also very hard on the suspension in that corner, just bottoms out. I reckon Shock absorbers the issue. Im waiting on the gearbox being sorted then im thinking...

Water leak from the roof inside the car?

Yes mate at the seal. Fed up with this car. 3rd gear going, grinding at the rear drivers side which you can feel the heat standing next to the wheel and now this.

Water leak from the roof inside the car?

Had some heavy rain earlier. Took the car out and braked. This then came through! Noticed roof rust on inspection. Could this be the cause?

At a bit of a loss

Finance company are giving 10 days to the garage regarding 3rd gear. Sent them the Honda document about notchy/crunchy 3rd gear and the fix for it. Ball is in their court now, I wouldnt have confidence in them doing the gearbox when they cant even sort a grinding noise at the rear.

At a bit of a loss

Got the car back, they admit 3rd is 'notchy' and apparently an owner of another FN2 said that it can be fixed with polybushes. It didnt pop out on them, but they could feel it is notchy. The grinding at the rear is still there, and still louder when you turn right. As it is under finance, im...

At a bit of a loss

Theres Vertu Honda at Doncaster. Ive got a silver warranty with the car, probably not worth the paper its printed but if they say there is an issue, ill be banging on their door demanding it to fixed. Ive only done 900 mile in the 10 weeks of ownership.

At a bit of a loss

Oh, forgot to mention that I chose to buy this car on finance. I couldve bought it outright but with a baby on the way I chose to save. I wonder if it is worth contacting them.

At a bit of a loss

Ill have a look when i get the car back. They felt nothing wrong with 3rd gear but I know its a bitch to get into

At a bit of a loss

Drivers side rear looks alot lower than on the passengers side. Theres next to no wheel arch gap which is worrying me alot. Taken it to the garage I bought it from, and they are at a loss as to why it has happened. Theyve checked the coil springs and there is no visual damage. Any ideas?

2 bucket method wash today. Then went with Poorboys Black hole, Autoglym super resin and the Liquid Nattys wax to finish. Paintwork is in awful condition. So many scratches and swirls. Roof is starting to bubble and rust too. Im cancelling all my mod plans and save for a respray as there is...

    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

Anybody know of any Type S seats for sale? Cant get along with the narrow leg support of the Type R seats.

    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

The side supports dig like hell into the side of my legs. I had leather recaros in my Megane 250 and they were perfect, these are incredibly narrow. Im thinking of getting the Type S seats and a CG lock.

    Andy's NHB FN2 GT

Took the plunge and bought an FN2. 77k on the clock and full Honda service history. Love the car, but I hate the front seats! Need to find some different ones. Mechanically the car is sound which is the most important thing to me. Visually it isnt great. It has some scratches which a 10...
