take it to a specialist and ask them to do a check on the car it might cost a pretty penny but in the long run it could save you a lot.

the hondata inlet gasket, rbc inlet manifold and karcepts adaptor are a great setup with an induction kit, complimented with a bigger throttle body equals win :) i got my toda one second hand.

my friend has an s2000 tuned with an aem stand alone ecu, reccomended and fitted/ mapped by tdi south, if you wait for mase then fair enough and good luck!

cheers mate kpro is a must now, i had a problem fitting the spc camber bolts on the front, was not sure how they went, so i am wanting a fast road setup and kpro at the same time :) also need to get my hose from the engine to the rad sorted too as it is stretched round my aem cai.

hi there mate i have an rbc inlet manifold, i bought mine with the carcepts adaptor kit i think its called from tdi south, as far as i know you need the adapter plate for a standard throttle body, i also have a toda throttle body, and correct me if im wrong but as far as i know all aftermarket...

my friend has only bought this particular evo a few months ago so it may be the previous owner which you dealt with dotty! i forgot to mention i did finally get round to puttint my spoon magnetic gearbox sump bolt in as well as some fresh gearbox oil too.

these are very hit and miss i have redone mine a few times because i am unhappy but the end result is the same every time, great piece of kit though.

er yes! id say so, i havent got my car remapped yet and have alot of bolt on mods done now, kpro is next on my list of things to do now i have everything together power wise.

fd2 ftw! there arent many around in the second hand market i found when i was sort of looking into buying one as they are a four door type r with a boot! i like where you are going with this keep it up!

it will have to be slightly bent yes it is not as perfect fitment as with the standard inlet mani, however me and my friend have the aem cai, and the rbc setup, it does work extremely well,

i have ferodo ds 2500s all round, currently dba 4000 series slotted front discs, i have the rear dba's to go on soon and braided lines. i got the discs from tdi south and they arent cheap compared to some discs, however i really rate them, they are a very clever piece of kit, the kangaroo paw...

im still chuffed to bits with my rbc not a bad word to say about it, instant improvements and gains.

its only very rarely, nothing to worry about. to me it feels how a dc2 feels on turn in obviously nowhere near as good as a teg but similar feel to it.

jdm arb! it has made a bigger difference than i would have expected on mine, anyone experience any clunking noise with theirs? i get it now and again. the ride is a lot stiffer and you know when you go over a bump!

its been a long time coming, but there are alot of tuning products for the fn2 now which is making them more appealing to me, nice car and good luck trying to keep it clean! my black ep3 looks the nuts when clean but it doesnt stay clean for long!

its filthy! lol my mate steve is a talented mechanic and is very enthusiastic when it comes to hondas, he was doing the work on mine and fitting a aem fuel rail on my friends ep3.

recently had a baby myself and personnally i think your car will be fine for a baby, my ep3 is great and the rear seat belts lock once you feed the belt back in, it holds the car seat in position snugly! its fine as long as you dont mind leaning in the back to strap them in which i dont!

yeah the engine bay needs a good bit of tlc, my tires at the front are getting a little worn! still legal and have tread on them all over, the picture is not great quality due to being takne on my phone, the back ones are still all good! will definately get some more paradas when the fronts...

update! rear jdm roll bar fitted! hamp oil filter and clean race oil plus new spark plugs fitted, and a toda 70mm tapered throttle body!

on my car there is a button like a child lock on thedrivers door that stops the passenger window form operating.

nice one i had a similar problem with the driveshaft heatshield. i found the noise quite embarrassing untill it was resolved.

a toda manifold, thats about a grand now or a toda catback which come`s to about a grand, or kpro which might be slightly over.

alot of people on here weill reccomend getting a fast road set up (frsu) this is meant to be an outstanding mod for your type -r it might be a bit more than £300 thought ;) a popular combination is lowering springs front camber bolts and rear camber adjusters, once you have these you will need...

tdi south are at thurrock by lakeside. they advertise themselves as a supercar sanctuary and do everything as far as i know.

id reccomend funkypower for jdm wind deflectors as thats where i got mine from!

ordinary cheap double sided foam tape is poor imo! my friend who worked at a car repair place and bodyshop gave me some "3M" branded double sided adhesive foam tape its made to stick on plastic trim and the like so id reccomend going into a local place and asking to buy some or search for it a...

hi mate im no expert so dont take my workd for it but a baffled sump helps prevent oil starvation from the oil pick up point in the sump when cornering hard. if your engines oil feed is starved then im guessing its not going to do it any good!

i would imagine its possible but very tricky!

its only about a 0.2 difference in pressure but i guess every little helps!

try the driveshaft heatshield, honda are sometimes reluctant to sell gear box oil my friend had to go to a dealers 3 times and in the end they gave in and let him have some for his dc2.

a friend of mine has a spoon 4-2 2-1 mani and buddy club cat back so therefore is decatted and he hasnt noticed any decrease in performance as such but he will eventually kpro his car once he gets an inlet manifold

are you talking about the inserts or mounts? i have just the inserts and love them! i have a standard exhaust and with the inserts in it sounds like i have a real boomy race car :) especially when you back off and let the revs sit about 5k,

i must say having driven a dc2 a few times and been a passenger in one too i think the dc2 out handles an ep3, stock vs stock, but i only noticed this when really pushing it, but other than that i would choose my ep3 over a dc2 because after a bad day or when your feeling a little rough the ep3...

from my ford days i think the exhaust to go for was the miltek 421, great cars they are like an rs where you take it to fords and they bend you over for more money than a standard puma, and parts were always expensive when they first came out, wouldnt like to think what they are like now.

i use the same no problems what so ever but my driveway is not very car friendly and even though the profile change isnt massive i now just catch the bit of rubber below the front bumper when i come from a certain way.

i love the old skool 9s and dc2s its like a car that health and safety didnt get their mitts on ;)

all i can say is wow to the rbc, totally different noise and you get a noticeable increase in power, i have replaced the interior mats too with new oem ones which look much better now, and a new rear wiper the old one was split lol. next up i have some braided brake lines to go on, a rear jdm...

little update ;) after sitting in my room for almost a year finally installed are my energy suspension engine mount inserts, and instead of swapping the inlet manifold from uk over to jdm i sourced a new rbc from tdi that was near enough ready to bolt on to my car and had the throttle body...

I would like to see the same car produce two graphs one with the RBC and one with the skunk 2 inlet to compare the two.

wow mate the car looks great! n1 on now? front plate looks good too! i think the previous owner marked the back bumper with the exhaust at nurburg last year just from the heat of the bc. its looking really nice i might have to look into the frsu when i get back from holiday.
