Even with Protected NCB and legal cover, £516.6 - £130 = £386.60.

£300 voluntary excess though. That means:
Windscreen excess £75
Fire & Theft Excess £300
Accidental Damage Excess £450

Is it worth the extra £100 for protected NCB and legal fees cover?

Just taken out my insurance with A-Plan at £420 which i thought was really good.

As for proctecting it or not- i think that is something of opinion.

I personally have protected mine since i could get insurance as you never know when you may need to make a claim or not.

i havent to date, but will have to see what i can do about my bumpers as someone hit me and did a runner :evil:

Gone with A-Plan in the end. £429 protected and legal cover minus the hassle of claiming the cashback.
