will a 2.5 inch pipe make much diffrence than the 2 and 1/4 inch pipe ive got on atm?

Yes.

A 2.25 inch pipe has a cross sectional area of πx1.125²=3.98 inches.

A 2.5 inch pipe has a cross sectional area of πx1.25²=4.91 inches.

It's a big difference, almost another 25% increase in the pipe that in the amount of gasses that can escape into.

It'll free up a fair bit of power with other supporting breathing mods like an intake. Same principle with race headers, they can get rid of the gasses easier.

Ok new exhaust it is then I've got a custom Straight thru pipe ATM with a japspeed mani and just a cone filter with 3 cold air feeds

Can anyone recommend a 2.5 inch bore ?!
The cheeper the better

Also a good intake.. Again not over £300

Sorry, exhaust manifold. They are usually bigger bore than standard ones and usually are de-catted.

Piper catback is 2.5. Jdm aftermarket exhausts are 2.4nches, 60mm.
