4 Wheel Geometry Alignment Setup Help & Advice Please...

Hey guys, I been busy the last few weeks and I have actually gotten the stuff I been trying to get done to my car for a while done now.

Honda Civic Type R EP3 2005 Plate. Currently have the following installed:

Complete SuperPro Bush Kit (Front Caster Increase Bushes)
Front SPC Camber Bolt
Rear SPC Camber Correct Kit
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs
DME Red Rear Control Arms ( I know these are bling more than anything!)
Rear JDM ARB

I am finishing it off this month and wanting to know what Setups you have got or would you suggest for my car...

I use the car for every day use so back and forth work every morning and evening which is a 5 min motorway drive away or B road drive. Then the rest is social and whatever. I have been told to go for a Fast Road Setup which is fine but how does it go with Tyre Wear and so on? Do I go for some negative camber or what?

If you can attach Setups you know / got then I would be grateful! I look forward to your advice. Thanks guys!

a 'fast road set up' is just a term used by people, you can have your car set to drive pretty much how you want, there are links on a few other sites that have exact set ups so you could take to a 4 wheel alinment specialist and simply ask for it set up the same. you could also have it set back to factory settings which would reduce tyre wear but wouldnt make it handle any better. different driving styles also call for different set ups. your best bet would be to go somewhere and speak to the guy doing the set up and explain what you want it to do or what you would like to acheve in doing it

I have a very similar set up to yourself and I have mine set to....

1 deg. neg. at front
1 deg. neg. at rear
1.2 mm toe out at front (total)
2 mm toe in at rear (total)

This set up shouldn't wear tyres too much and I've found it gives a well balanced car. In the wet it will 4 wheel drift which I prefer but if you stamp on the gas it will understeer. Feed in the power gently and it's great fun.

Going in to have an lsd fitted at the end of the month. That should make things even better.;)

How much the LSD costing you to get the part and fitted plus which LSD?

I am pretty keen on the 4 Wheel Drift too... so tyre wear is pretty good then? I don't do lot of motorway miles or anything so sounds like it be fine. I was hoping for a few more peoples ideas too but seems to be dying a bit on here lol

Thanks though for your setup.

Personally I would wait until the clutch needs doing, unless it's been done already. A large proportion of the cost will be in the labour, as it is a gearbox out job.

As for which LSD, the choice is yours. For roads use I would look at helical one rather than a plate LSD. I went with the M Factory LSD as I liked the fact it is forged. So far I have been really impressed and I am running a near identical setup to what you will be. Not experienced any notable understeer and you can feed the power in a lot sooner coming out of corners.

It was for an M Factory diff, new clutch, and all gearbox bearings replaced. Drive in, drive out for £1300 Sorry, that should be £1230.
