Very expensve to restore as a Super Tourer, not to say difficult to source parts but I wonder if you could a fit "warmed over" Accord Type R engine and gearbox etc for use as a track day car or in a race series such as the Nippon Challenge or CSCC "Tin Tops"?

$15K (c £7.5K) does not seem too bad for that level of chassis sophistication!

Just a thought! Not for me, sadly, but its a shame to see such a shell going to waste.

It's also in the US so wouldn't be worth the hassle. Old ATR touring cars pop up occasionally over here in the UK so you'd be best sourcing one of these

I don't think importing cars from the US is all that difficult, I know a chap that does it all the time. In fact that is prbaby the easy bit. The real issue is whether someone can be bothered to try to fit the running gear from a roadgoing car. If someone is technially competent and has the facilities to do it themselves then it could be a good project but if you have to pay for the work to be done, it could get expensive.

I don't fully know the scope of what's required but a new loom would be required for eg. Anything can be done with time and £.

As I said, its not for me but I hought I'd highlight it in case someone else was so inclined.

I was gonna post this !
