aem = engine management

I've got an aem CAI on my type R but the engine management light keeps coming on,if I put the standard airbox on after about 20 miles the light will go off again so its obviously the induction kit (ive tried it 3 times).
I thought it must be the sensor not being a tight fit so i taped it up and squeezed it back in but the problem is still there.Any ideas? Thanks.
