what decent air filter can I get to replace the one on the end of a typhoon induction? Or can I self clean it?

You can clean K&N filters. You only need to replace it if it is damaged.

You can buy K&N cleaning kits in loads of places. Go for the pump kit instead of the aerosol kit though.

the difference is the oil you put on once you've cleaned the filter, the oil is either in a aerosol can or a pump bottle
