Alarm / Locking

Hi All,

Earlier on today (about 6.30pm) i got back to my car after work.
Went to open it using the fob, the indicators flashed but the car did not unlock.
Tried it a couple of times after that and the same thing happend.
If i press the unlock button once then again within 5 seconds it double flashes the 2nd time.
The only way of getting into the car is using the key but even then i have to open the door with they key in it.
If i pull the key out after locking it, it automatically locks again.
When i got home, went to lock the car.
Seemed to work ok until the 4th flash, when the dead-lock is meant to engage.
It flashes but i cannot hear the dead-lock like i used to.

Any ideas anyone?

Was it freezing when this happened. My doors would not unlock when my car was frozen. Had to use the key.


Deadlock works by push lock button (car locks) and then push it a second time for deadlock.

i think it might have been the cold as it is all working now

my deadlock locks automatically, i dont need to push the button a 2nd time

You must be a pre-03, it's only from 03 on that you had to press twice for deadlocks.

nearly 2 months on and the same has happened again
anyone else had this trouble?

mines the only ep3 ive ever seen that the car unlocks but the indicators dont flash

the indicators flash on mine but it doesnt unlock
might be the colder weather affecting it
