Anyone else adopt the "20 Min Rule" ?

Dont attach the Oil Temp Gauge directly to the Engine with a T connection, or else you will end up on the back of a recovery truck like I did.

Where do you reccomend it be attached ?

Sandwich plate on the Oil Filter, or it you have to use a T piece, buy a extension hose, attach this to the block, and attach the T Piece to the other end and tie it up somewhere.

Ive got an extension hose running from the sandwich plate.

If I went by the rule I would never go past 4k! All my journeys are short!

i run a 5 mins warm up on the drive. then 3000 and slowly increasing. 3000 all the way to work as its not far

You should just get in, start it and drive straight away. Leaving it idling to warm up isn't good for the engine as there isn't a lot of oil pressure and it takes a while to warm up.
