FD2 Anyone heard or bought from these people?

The garage is called svs limited or website www.sampsonsltd.com i was wondering if anybody dealt or bought anything from them.just wanted to get some feed back.they have some fd2s unregistered selling for £17995,which does look very attractive considering a lot of people are trying to get that mark for an 07 57 plate.any help with this would be much appreciated thanks.

No, sorry. Never heard of them. I don't think any of those cars are new. It doesn't state milage anywhere in the ad.

There are 1 owner cars that have been in the UK from new that could be a better bet.

J

I've not heard of the company i'm afraid but here are some general observations:

None of these cars are new, they are stated as 08 plates so are at least 6 months old. If the cars where bought new they could be registered on 58 plates, also one of the photos shows a car sporting a JDM plate. I find it very suspicious that mileage is not mentioned.

All pictures have been taken at the Japanese docks which is a little strange. I would expect this for a car not yet in the country but not for a car that is meant to be in stock

Data on Co2 emissions is incorrect so implies that car has not had it's SVA work

Unless i'm missing something it doesn't state which colour is in stock

A phone call however could clear all of this up so worth a call. However for that money I would take the 2nd hand one in stock at Litchfields.

i did phone them up and had a chat.they said they were unregistered and new with omiles on them.they said they imported about 20 of them in that's y they can still get away with the price they still got three left.white, blue and silver left.it's just so funny that if they already sold about 17 examples that nobody knew or have somethimg to say about them............the price do look attractive though.

They seem pretty genuine, I would ask for pictures of their white one. and then go and see it, I nearly purchased one from them.

I was going to buy their white one, looks fine with the black interior, perhaps a bit smarter than white/red&black.

I don't think they are interested in part ex, worth ringing torque GT as they claim to have supllied them, you will find out how genuine they are then.

Just see if someone can go and have a look at the white one for you, I'm too far from the south cost.

i ask them if the cars had underseal he said they spray some sort of a wax coating or something on it instaed but if need be he could always do what the customer ask of........i take it they just buy and sell motors,so what may i ask if them to do if i was really going for the sale?

thanks zero......i stay in scotland hence i can't just nip down to have a look.thanks for all the people here for the help!!!

They may wax oil the cars which is pretty good, they also put a 3 year warranty, road tax, register the car for you. Alarm but it's cat 2, so pay extra for a cobra/toad cat 1 or something similar.

Why do you catch a flight or train and go and see it. I would at that price had I not found the used one....

they said it comes with a 3yr motorcare warranty which covers something like £40/hr labour,so what's the current rate just now?is motorcare a good warranty company?so if the labour costs about £70/hr i would have to fork out the other £30/hr is that how it works?

I think specialist are around £40-£60 per hours, but this is Honda we are talking about, you would have to be unlucky to get ones that goes wrong and long as you service it.

Cars sound genuine, but just make sure you see the car in flesh before you part with any money! You never know, it may not exist... but the garage does seem genuine.

yo zero, have u had a look at their site?www.sampsonsltd.com click on the fd ad and see what u think.it's a cat one they offer and all their cars has been sva'd i was told.i think if there was enough feedback on these people then chances r that i would just drive my car down and do the deal.cause i already contact them and mailed the details of the trade in and they said they would look at it.didn't want to fly down just to look at it when's it's new.if it was second hand it's different.plus it's about 450 solid miles for me!!!!!!!!

true,very true

Sounds like it could be a good buy, but from my original post just about all the info on the ad is incorrect then.

If you are interested check the co2 emsssions and VED band.

The labour rate is very low on the warranty and you would be liable for the difference. You'd also struggle to insure without a cat1 so that needs clearing up.
