APEXi V-AFC2 Vtec controller

Been looking at getting one of these for my CTR EP3 was just after some advice.

Also how easy are they to fit? I found it easy to fit the AVCR into my other car was kind of thinking that this would be just as easy:confused:

don't think these work on i-vtec engines mate.

Yes they do. Have one here. The first vafc does not work with k20 engine. But the 2 definetly does. It will need setting up correctly though. A lot of people with jdm cars use them, especially to get rid of the 180 kph limit. Probably more for show than go.

Tit's on a bull springs to mind.

Get a different ECU if you want to piddle about with VTEC controls.

Big pile of Poo!

Speant a day on a dyno with one a few months back.
Yeah lowers vtec point. yeah can adjust fuelling but only at 500rpm incriments.
Also after a day of fiddling, tweaking settings, it made a massive 3bhp at midrange due to the earlier changeover and nothing topend.

Unless you have the cams in the right place and ignition correct your ****ing in the wind.

Total cost to the fella was £350! Add that to the cost of his controller and he would have been pretty close to K100 and a proper tune!

Save yer money.;)
