Arc or gruppe M

Currently have an arc intake on my JDM ep3, but due to one off the fixing bolts rattling loose over time its moved about in it and i now have a nice long crack running down the weld. Going to have to take it off and get it welded but now im thinking of replacing it with a gruppe m.

Has any one had both? As im not sure which to go with

Dotty has had both and I think typeriter has too

Arc have gone bust by the way, incase you were unaware

I've had both, and prefer the ARC. Just gaffer tape it up mate :lol:

Duct tape ftw then sell on for silly money in a couple of years :lol:

Or get some clear silicon sealant inside the box along the crack

- can I ask, did you have the spacers fitted to the L brackets as advised?

yes mate i did, one of the brackets come loose so think the little bit of extra movement cracked it. ive made some new brackets so should all be ok

to be honest mate i'll propbably keep it i love the sound to much

Not sure what material it's made from but would suspect it would be aluminium or an alu-alloy. If so, you may struggle to find a good alu-welder as aluminium is notoriously difficult to weld well.

IIRC, the ARC is made from Aluminium.

May have to be brazed instead of welded. Doubt the finish will be as good.
