Are these worn out?

After reading a few threads on 'squeaky brakes' I decided to have a look at mine whilst I had this afternoon free and have come to the conclusion my brake pads are missing the plastic and metallic shims that are supposed to go between the pad and piston/caliper on the front.

Then I decided to pop the pads out as I was there and wanted to know if these are worn out as I don't know how thick the pads usually are.

(I suspect the pads are worn and that the groove is a marker/indicator???)

Thanks in advance

There not worn out just get some shims from honda to stop the squealing noise, New pads from honda have new shims in the box just use them on the old pads
