Audio upgrade front speakers

Looking at upgrading the front speakers in my Ep3,

when I replaced the rears, I ended up having to get autoleads speaker adaptor leads for Honda Accord as the civic ones were a different shape completely, is this the case with the front?

Also will these adaptor rings just slot in place without any modification to door card?

not interested in then Vauxhall ones

I'm looking to upgrade my speakers also. The stock versions are a bit pony.

I went for wooden rings rather than plastic in the hope of giving a more secure mount. Had to drill a couple of holes per door and buy countersunk bolts, penny washers and nyloc nuts. Also had to remove some of the surplus material behind the grille.
