When changing your exhaust set up would you need to change the B pipe? would it make a difference?

Do you mean if you have an aftermarket back box, Will it be better suited to an aftermarket b-pipe? If so yes. The same applies for having the OEM back box with an aftermarket b-pipe.

E.g Spoon back box would be better with a spoon b-pipe over the OEM mid pipe.

The Spoon b-pipe would work well with OEM back box also.
