Backbox Issue??

Basically I bought a second hand back box spoon n1 replica because it was cheap and never been fitted, and went to fit it today to a standard b-pipe and it's literally about 3 inches to short?? The back box came off a 2004 civic and mine is a 2003?? Is the exhaust different from a pre to a facelift??
 
Exhausts are the same between pre and facelift. Was it a off the shelf replica or a custom built replica?

A off the shelf N1 rep should be a straight bolt on fit.
 
Ah well this I don't know, I'm guessing with all the fabrication that's done to it it's a custom built one. Now that I think of it that's probably why it's a bit short.
