Bedding in a new clutch

Well chaps,

I've finally purchased a new clutch kit (managed to get it for £186 inc VAT :D ).

I believe it's the one for the facelift ep3 although I doubt that'll make any difference...

My question is do I need to bed it in for a certain amount of miles?

Thanks in advance!

just run mine in for 500miles

In the paperwork it says 500miles minimum 750 is ideal, im sure they say to cover them selfs have always done 500miles in the past and never had a prob

had an OEM clutch put in, wasnt told about the bedding in miles.

I drive sensible anyway but the vtec was tested when it was freshly put in my TGM. So far it still feels like new with no problems.

It doesn't matter about the vtec as the clutch is engaged and not doing anything, you only have to take it easy on pulling off and changing gears, basically you just need to keep the clutch slipping to a minimum. No racing off at the lights etc.
