Hi,
This weekend I noticed selecting the gears was becoming stiff. Now I can't select 1st , 3rd or 5th. After having a little look around the linkages it appears that one is bent. I will try and upload a picture later. I'm guessing this has to be the reason for the gears not selecting. 2nd, 4th, 6th and reverse all work but are still stiff.
Has anybody replaced the linkages ? I'm guessing its not going to be a straight forward job.
Any suggestion welcome, and thanks in advance.
P.S Car is on 131K - Recent new clutch + flywheel.
Might just be a coincidence but this all started after replacing the shifter bearings with aftermarket ones. I shall be reverting back to the OEM rubber ones when the new linkage is fitted just in case.
